I published 200+ blog post here, countless likes and some comments. Itβs not that Iβm a prolific blogger but Iβve written here for 6 years now. I thought it a good time to look back and reflect on why Iβm still blogging after all this time, when so many give up.
Like you have been observing, I had a break from blogging of almost six months and it wasnβt because the blog wasnβt successful, but it’s because of many factors; some political, Health matters and others financial. (Blogging in world’s dictatorial states is the worst experience authors do face).
βBecause we are own worst critic, we donβt see clearly our greatness. Thatβs why surrounding yourself with people who really support and believe in you is vital. What they can do for you is what you can also do for others.β
Iβd lost the belief that I could succeed in online marketing but as David Merrill, says in Success is a Self Fulfilling Prophesy βwhat is essential is that you decide to succeed at something, and that you believe it.β
Iβll continue passing on my experience and knowledge (including stuff I learned about myself and those denied me to blog about). What others have done for me, I can do for others!
Iβll always try to give value although, of course, that is in the eye of the beholder. As bloggers and Authors we need to find the right audience to reach those interested in our topics, donβt we?
I will never stop to write! and don’t get distracted by my absence, Iβm someone that requires time by myself to reenergize and if I donβt get enough alone time, I get agitated.
Iβve been a strongly verbal person for as long as I can remember, and for me, the clearest way I can express myself is through writing. I love how the thoughts flow from my brain onto the keyboard. I love revising those thoughts into something that sounds halfway decent. I love reading back over my work and accessing it. I love blasting lofi in my earbuds as I type away and lose all track of time. I love the way you can edit and re-edit, making your article into a polished finished product for people to read. I love how I am writing this post again after quite long period without writing.
I started blogging almost 6 years ago now when I was really too young and posted once in a while. No wonder I didnβt get any views. Now all my views are from all-over the world, and I donβt have any subscribers that arenβt friends or family. Nowonder on yet to be professional blog like many say. They consider and trust self owned webs and blogs that aren’t controlled by WordPress! But hey, I love it and having that track of what Iβve read and what my thoughts are is so special. I consider everything to be in process, you loved and trusted me with this unprofessional blog and you’re encouraging me to upgrade to next level! aww! that’s awesome, very soon I will own a domain because you love and supported me.
Blogging is so special and itβs a place where nothing matters apart from me, my words and my books. After a tough days, coming home to my laptop is just what I need! after all what I passed through behind the door both painful and joyful now I can settle and shower you motivation, inspiration and books.
Disclosing the fact now! I know some of you still questioning why I stopped blogging without warning. moreover after 40 days to release my new book, “A Breath of Life and Hope of Light” like I told you, some reasons are political. The book is A historical #Truecrime Shading light about all atrocities committed by Uganda’s dictators. Like every state has its own procedures for a book to make it through and be available to the world. I was instructed to stop the process. But it was late, the project was already uploaded on Amazon and it is still there? It is banned in my country but it is live everywhere go and access it. Do you feel that?
That little tugging sensation on your heart? Youβre not sure what, but something is pulling you to change. Not in a confess-your-sins-oh-ye-sinners way, but to shift directions, to embrace your calling, to finally do what you were put here to do: Write. No matter what! You feel the ideas inside you. You sense them straining to escape. You know your job is to set them free, firing them like a cannon into a world in desperate need of them.
But youβre afraid.
Youβre afraid of being prosecuted, afraid of quitting your job and living without a safety net. Youβre afraid of the concerned, disapproving looks your friends will give you when you tell them youβre giving it all up to write for a living. Youβre afraid of not having enough money for food, of the power being cut off, of watching your family shivering and hungry, all because of your βselfishnessβ because someone is intimidating an forcing you to write what pressures them.
And most of all? Youβre afraid youβre wrong about yourself. Maybe that tugging sensation you feel is just an illusion. Maybe your ideas are crap. Maybe youβre just a fool with delusions of grandeur, and this whole fantasy of becoming a writer is just that: a fantasy. So, you do nothing.
You cower in your safe little job, in your comfort and let your minds be used because of fear. You learn how to start a blog or a novel or a screenplay. You drown your dreams with junk food or booze or shopping sprees, or anything they gave you trying to buy your reasoning but all the while telling yourself youβre doing the right thing.
But are you?
βNo,β a little voice whispers inside of you. βNo, this is all very, very wrong.β
Oh Godβ¦ You! should continue to write! and that’s what I am doing!
Friends, Family, Readers and fellow authors thank you to stand by my side even in dark days, thank you for the emails, reaching over and over social medias to give me hope, courage and strength.
This period of my absence has been ones of reflection. In a couple of months, when I recover well from all environmental stressors like this fear and ill health, Iβll be letting you know what’s next. Yah! Reflection time is over for now. Iβve also cleared out some of the clutter which will give me more time to add to my free resources site.

It is bittersweet because you are not physically here to witness the completion of a dream deferred, but through this journey, I have felt your Spirit and heard your sweet voice encouraging me to never give up every step of the way, so this is for you.

Four years ago, I set my first book, Make Me Understand, Family, Parenting and Health, a parenting reference book into this wild world.
Later in 2021 (last year) I birthed another book, actually A Memoir about my life and that of my family growing up in Wars, Poverty and alike. The book with heart wrenching stories constantly flowing from my head, I was anxious to release something readers will love and get inspired.
Still to this day, the one that started it all seems to be a favorite.
I have learned so much over these four years. I started off clueless, but I’m a quick learner (sometimes). I can feel the improvement within me every time I start a new project.
I’ve met so many amazing people, I’ve met some sketchy ones too, but we won’t talk about them. I’ve learned that sometimes the people closest to you will not support your dream. They will not help lift you up or sing your praise. That’s okay; it’s not their job; it’s mine. However, I get so much support from readers that I never met before publishing. I love you guys so much
Here I am, four years in and still powering through. I started off in 2018 with a solitary goal that was meant for public, something related to my profession, (Social Work an Humanities) I found out something about myself once that goal was reached. I found a talent inside me that was just waiting for the right time to emerge. β€οΈβ€οΈ
Now here I am, still on the ground floor, still trying to work my way up, and still loving every day.
This venture gets stressful at times. I have to stay positive every single day. It gets lonely and depressing , but when that one person pops up singing my praise and tells me how much my words mean to them, it makes it all worth every single second.
I struggle with getting arc readers, reviews, support and many other things. The one thing I do not struggle with is these characters! They are always right here whether I want them or not.
You all know I am embarked on journey of my first series. The Breath of life and Hope of Light: The Blurred light from West SERIES. That will be released next year 4th/01/2023. It’s now 50 Days until release. I will be uploading the manuscript next week. And paperback final manuscript will be released closer to release day.

Today, November 4th, marks 60 days (2 months) until release of the first book in Blurred light from West SERIES “A breath of life and Hope of Light” that is set to be released by 4th January 2023.
I started this process about 3 years before knowing what the world would be encountering and with no clue what the next few years would bring!
Then starting June 2022, I formatted and edited the heck out of it. I with a team edited, and edited…
Now last month, I sent my manuscript to a professional editor and proofreader and by the end of this month I hope to receive the final manuscript.
I received the final book cover which is designed to bring out the features in manuscript, the diagram on the cover represents my country “Uganda” flag, colors and a crested crane in middle embeds lot of meaning (search)
I have wished this process would have been faster, but I have said from beginning that the book will come out in God’s timings, and His timing is always perfect. Thorough research, attention, needs time to produce a good quality book.
It’s exciting, fun, funny, hard work, stressful, frustrating, joyful and all the other emotions to birth a book

It is not easy to discuss about Uganda political figures but I am grateful for scholastic series that allows every historical book readers, Ugandans, school aged categories to read and learn about a dark and sad time in Ugandan history in the most simplistic way.
I encourage this book for any reader interested in Ugandan and east African politics, dictatorship in world and foreign relations. Itβs a worthwhile read when African history is often overlooked. If you want shivers sent up your spire, then this book should do the trick. The inside information and stories that the book relays is quite appalling.
This book is definitely not recommended for the faint heart. And while the description of activities and events are quite educational, the needless violence and suffering could overwhelm anyone

It is sad fate for a country whose physical beauty, abundant rainfall, agricultural potential, natural resources and exceptionally with Africaβs most rich and fertile land that, legend had it, almost anything could grow that once moved by Winston Churchill to call it the βPearl of Africaβ the βJewel of East Africaβ . β¦
Is landlocked and poor! Civil wars have plundered and wrecked the infrastructure of what had been one of black Africaβs most developed countries. Ugandaβs civil services had built one of Africaβs highly developed social networks but because of bad governments, Uganda has fallen from one of the best developed, most pleasant places in sub-Saharan Africa to among the most poorest and least developed countries in the world.
On the walls of deserted buildings, the graffiti scrawled by soldiers of Obote, Amin, Okello and NRA are still legible. Their reign of terror since independence only one wave of the tribal violence has claimed millions lives.
Along the roadsides are reminders of the horror! Piles of human skulls, heaps of scattered bones in tall elephant grass. It’s been a year since I put “The Dream from Dust” A memoir, up for grabs on Amazon and other major retailers. What a year it’s been!
Is it just me or is 2022 flying vby? I can’t believe! And so much happened and so much yet to come. It feels like yesterday I released a cover of what would end up being my bestselling memoir.
I couldn’t have known that then of course, but to this day, I am supper grateful to everyone who’s reading the dream from Dust and my other books.
I am grateful to everyone who’s recommended it to others, who’s posted about it, who’s requested it from their library, reviewed it even though I am still building my international fan base but I have been receiving lot of reviews from all corners of the world.
Few of my fan base use Amazon, Burnes Nobels and Apple book but I am glad to see many used those platforms to get their copies, some left reviews other are yet.
I am glad to everyone emailed to tell me they loved my story! Those called me to share their views and those bought in large numbers for voluntary basis. You’re all the best!
